Severe Weather Closure – All YMCA of Honolulu Branches & Programs Closed Friday, March 13
All YMCA of Honolulu branches and programs will be closed on Friday, March 13, due to severe weather conditions. The only exception is the Central YMCA short-term accommodations and Camp Erdman short-term rentals, which will continue to operate.
This includes YMCA A+ Afterschool, teen and kūpuna programs, preschools and early learning centers, and swim lessons.
The closure aligns with today’s announcements from the State of Hawaiʻi and the City and County of Honolulu regarding the suspension of non-essential services statewide. Governor Green announced that all public schools, including the University of Hawaiʻi, along with the State Legislature and Judiciary, will close today, and only essential state employees should report to work. Mayor Rick Blangiardi also directed non-essential City and County employees not to report to work.
Safety is our priority. Residents are encouraged to closely monitor official advisories and weather updates. Oʻahu residents may receive emergency notifications through HNL Alert at hnlalert.gov or by texting HNLALERT to 888-777.
Please continue to check our website for updates on our YMCA locations, facilities, and programs.
