Severe Weather Closure – All YMCA of Honolulu Branches & Programs Closed Sunday, August 16
All YMCA of Honolulu branches and programs will be closed on Sunday, August 16, due to Hurricane Lala severe weather conditions. The only exception is the Central YMCA short-term accommodations, which will continue to operate.
The closure aligns with the State of Hawaiʻi and the City and County of Honolulu suspension of non-essential services Statewide and advisement to residents to stay off the roads due to dangerous conditions.
Residents are encouraged to closely monitor official advisories and weather updates. Oʻahu residents may receive emergency notifications through HNL Alert at hnlalert.gov or by texting HNLALERT to 888-777.
Please continue to check back on our website for updates regarding our YMCA locations, facilities and programs. An announcement will be made by 7 pm on Sunday, August 16, regarding the status of facility openings on Monday, August 17. Mahalo and please stay safe.
